Watch the page download time As a rule of thumb, your page size shouldn't be more then 50kb and than under normal conditions your download time would be about 2-5 seconds. If the page downloads for more then 5 seconds you should consider moving some of the images to other pages of yor site. If you use a lot of images remember that the quality and the size (in kb) of an image will be proportional. If you want better quality you will get bigger size. This is something to keep in mind when making a decision about what format for images to choose. Two standards are GIFs and JPEGs. GIFs are very fast to download but suffer in quality when compared to JPEGs. Most images on the web are gifs.      Better Quality - Larger Size(10k)      Lower Qality-Less Size(oko2k) At the end (Thank Goodness) don't forget to test your pages using different screens, resolutions and using as many browsers as you can.
